Been awhile,Ok i haven't been out to have a look at the vehicle yet, am hoping someone out there maybe able to assist me on this one. Sorry i don't have any error codes as i was phoned tonight with a concern with a VS,what was explained to me was that the car had stopped when it got warm and the CAS was replaced and problem solved, well they thought, engine light stayed on,they tried re-setting to no avail, they can't remember the code but it gave them a message "low vaccuum on right hand bank" now he has checked all vaccuum hoses and has informed me that all look good,my first thought was a blown valley cover gasket but have been informed the car idles very well, drives ok,etc, etc, the only other thing that he had found was a cracked exhaust manifold (right hand side) would you think that could be a part of the unknown error code at this stage? i won't get to see the vehicle til sunday. My other thought was just the computer being a bit tempermental and just needs the code to be over ridden,iv'e also thought of the throttle body but like i said they have informed me that it idles and drives good...any thoughts or anyone else experienced this message alongside the error code? my apoligies for not being able to give you the code but he didn't write it down for reference and i'm hoping he still has the gear out there for when i go take a look as i don't possess the VS diagnostics gear anymore.any suggestions would be greatefully appreciated...thanks in advance.
Okgee thanks for the input..LOL
I got a code of 73,everything checked out with it so why is the light staying on ? i triple checked the error code and came up the same....73.Obviously removing the error log isn't going to turn the light off so why would the light be staying on when the pressure control solenoid circuit checks out ?
It's either a dirty connection or the solenoid is stuffed. It is inside the transmission.
