    Default 7HDD v 6HDD

    Hi all. Does anyone know what, if at all, is the difference between a 7HDD transmision & a 6HDD ?????

    The year they were made? 97' vs 96'.

    as _R_J_K_ said, the year they where made, u should be fine installing the 7hdd to replace ur 6hdd. do u know what month/year the car was made that the 7hdd come out of?

    Thanks Guys. the one i have is a 7Hdd in a series 2, needs replacing. Have been told they are the same but have been caught before with things like electrical connections not matching

    electrical connections will match, but there was something meantioned about a sensor change.. i'll see if i cant locate that thread..
