    Default vs statesman electric window HELP

    Hi guy's hoping someone can help I have a vs statesman and think that tonight there has been a major meltdown in my drivers window put it down about 1" and went to put it up and heard a load bang and no window go up . I have not been into one of these are they cable operated or gear?? What are the common probs with them, willl the reg and motor from a commodore door fit if i need to ? Any help would be much appreciated

    You might have a broken nylon runner. Only a few dollars at Holden.

    One or more of the largish pop rivets holding the motor to the door frame may have sheared off. If so replace with a nut and bolt.

    either way, u still have to remove the door trim and inspect all parts of the window mech.

    as suggested, either pop rivit or nylon window runner. post up ur findings or pics if your having probs diagnosing.

    Found the prob guys the large gear on the reg was not welded properly from new and had broken away at the bottom and eventually snapped the arm it's welded to at the top so out it came and out came the welder and stuck it back together. All good and happy me again thanks for your ideas guy's
