Hey guys.

Yet another thred on my car. lol

Ok so here it goes

my car runs pritty rough on idle

and when i apply the brake and hold it on like at trafic lights it gets worse kind of shudders constantly and theres almost a knocking sound and i have no idea wtf is happning lol.

You have a Berlina with climate control - do you have problems with the air flow moving from the centre vents to your feet under acceleration?

when u say there is a knocking sound... does it sound like engine, suspension or exhaust, like metal on metal?

Definaty sound like a vaccum leak because brakes are vaccum assisted

So would the next move be to physically check all the vacume hoses and the also perform a check on the brake booster?

I THINK and thats just an I think, not an I know, but to check the booster run the car for a few mins then turn it off.

Press the brake pedal a few times, the pedal travel should get less and less and feel tighter and tighter, if that is the case then the booster is ok, I hope someone smarter can confirm this.

Is it auto and if it is,is it changing gears when it should ? starting to sound like the flex plate if your booster and vaccuum hoses check out.

does you car have abs, and if its running rough, could be a few thinks, most common is injectors need cleaning

yeah its abs and when the cars in drive and its stoped say on a hill and im siting there with no brakes on it still does it so basicly under load at idel?

knocking noise could just be the abs doing a self test

Flex plate...the knocking noise will be slightly audible when putting car from drive to neutral or park when about to switch ignition off. have you ever heard crook balance shaft bearings at all on the VN's ? does it sound like that ? if yes then id be getting under there with a screwdriver and use it as a listening device,place it onto the torque convertor flywheel housing and listsen through the handle of the screw driver if anything is a miss in that area it will be audible.
