    Default what are shot peened gears??

    ??.. been readin about diffs... apparently V8 diffs are shot peened?... what is it?... whats different to a 6er diff??

    shot peening is a process that basically hardens the metal more to make it stronger by hitting tiny ball bearings onto the metal at huge force to squash the outer particles of the metal closer together
