V8 tailshaft questions...manual same length as auto?

Ok...yesterday the front uni on my tailshaft let go on the clubsport,and the 2 holes where the uni fits onto the front of the tailshaft is destroyed....

But I know where a V8 auto VR calais is being wrecked,can I just put my manual yoke on the auto tailshaft and bolt it in?or are the front shafts different lengths like they are in the V6s?

I done a search first...found heaps of info on V6s,just need to know about V8s...

I can only assume 6's and 8's will probably be the same, as they use the same type of gearboxes (and the fact that they mount in the same place) and I have not read anything to say that 8's are not different.

The V6 and V8 manual tailshaft will be the same length
