    Default VR LCD Kilometre display

Hi my LCD kilometre display has stopped functioning correctly. The display seems to show faint part display but not the kilometres travelled. All other the other LCD displays work. Have checked the jack entering the console and have rejacked a few times and no change. Any ideas? Does this have to be working for a Inspection Certificate? thanks

You will need to take your dash cluster out. Over time the glass covering the readouts can dislodge partially causing the problems you are experiecing. After you take the cluster out, unclip the front clear cover. Next you will need to undo the white fascia panel that holds the three readouts. Inspect, remove and then tighten everything up.

By law you need to be able to read the odometer, so yes you need it to pass an inspection.

The mount tabs would probably have snapped off letting the LCD screen come lose. It will need to be glued into place. Arldite works OK.

thanks very much guys for the info. Have pulled down but cant get the LCD displays out as held by the ribbon cable underneath. Right hand display that is the odometer (the one that is not working correctly) looks ok cant see any sign of loose glass covering. All three displays look the same and tight in the white plastic casing. Not sure what to do next? tks
