    Default Band adjustment

    Hey i was wondering can anyone give me a run down on adjusting the bands on a VR autoslush box ?

    Google isnt playing ball and im sick of this trany slipping/shuddering/not willing to manualy select a gear/only going well when its on the gear it wants then when it changes dump to nutrel/ did i mention generaly being a auto retard.

    correct me if im wrong but i dont think 4l60e trannys have bands to adjust theyre electronic and always stuff up as soon as you give them a hard time i went through three trannys in my vr

    G'day your right unfortunately there are no adj on those boxes time for a rebuild or 2nd hand unit

    technically you cant, but then again you can get longer pins with a servo kit for the band apply, not exactly a fully custom adjustment but it sort of can be done.

    Anyway looks like its time for a rebuild or good condition second hand, what state/suburb you in?

    The trans on a vr is electronically controlled. You can get the PCM modified to increase shift pressures and the speed (or rather the % of throttle opening) at which gears change. However, the best way is to get the trans strengthened and a shift kit installed.
