Enough to keep the springs in place i'd say. From memory, the almost double in size when fully extended. Someone here should know (if i'm wrong).

Out of curiosity why you need to know? There must be a bigger plan to the question if you know what i mean

I had some in my wagon. They were too hard and i ripped them out in favour of something less heavy duty. Unsure how much they lift the car as i never had to use them, even fully loaded they only compressed a little. But they were old and dodgy and stuffed i'd say, your experiance with them may be better.

I have the Monroe ones in my sedan, They are pretty hard and have the arse up by about 25mm over the front

I went to the servo to use their pump to lower the pressure and had no luck as the Servo's pump wouldn't lower to 8Psi...

you just push the valve to let the air out, just use one of those crappy pressure gauges you buy at auto shops you push onto your tyre valves to check the pressure. Just halfpush it on to let the pressure out.

no they are gay, you dont realise it till you go too hard. If the rear is to hard it just want to throw you through the front window every time the rear goes over a speed bump and it just feels bad to drive and the rear end feels like it wants to just slide out. If you want to get rid of body roll the best thing you can do is the sway bars and stick with a comfortable shock and spring setup
