    Default Lifter's Noisy

    G'day everyone,

I went through macca's drive through today and noticed that my lifters are a little nosiy, there not over the top noise wise but you can hear them ticking away, plus I haven't done an oil change for a good time now (work related issue giving me no time to get it done ) could this cause them to be noisy.

    Cheers....

Missing an oil change could quite possibly cause the lifters to get a little noisey. I'd get some new oil in asap and if your worried, chuck a bottle of lifter free in at the same time.

oil change is the way to go but in the end the old pushrod engines arnt the most smooth running things in the world, unless the lifters gets stuck its no huge problem

Right thanks for the help guys, I will change the oil and add some lifter free fluid at the same time.
