Could just be condensation (motor heats and cools water rises to the top hence milky stuff) in the rockers.

Condensation? WTF? Why is there water in the oil galleries? That's not good...

Seems to be you've done a head gasket. I suggest you get yourself a compression test done at a local mechanic. That will give you a better idea. If you have water in the oil then the oil will loose its lubricating ability and you'll do some serious damage.
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!

same thing happened to my VR. no water leaking, just some water in there from when the mechanic did a high pressure spray...dumbass. i had my inlet manifold gasket changed just to be sure anyway and radiator flush as well. but the tapping...not sure on that one. does it get warmer than normal?
