hey everyone
I have 95 Series II VR Berlina
V6 Buick
Auto
with 237,XXXkm
Has a sports exhaust, Decent stereo, 17's and a CAI, Leather trim and a few other little things however it does have a few mechanical and electrical issues such as the BCM, Power Steering pump.
My father just bought a 96 Series II VS Exec
V6 Ecotec
Auto
with 162,XXXkm
Sports Exhaust, Regularly serviced, Sony xplode sound system minus sub, Lowered on chrome 18's with new tires and is Mechanically sound and only needs the rear bushes replaced.
As I do more more driving then him he proposed trading cars, he said I can take my sub and leather trim as he don't care about things like that.
What are the major differences? is it worth trading or fixing my Berlina?
Thanks
swap !!!!!!!!
I'd be going for the swap...You're giving 75,000ks and an older car to your father... Pretty sure you're getting the better end of the deal.
yer I did think it was too good to be true, only thing though does the VS have a strong drive-line as I do approx 245KM a day.
It's at least as good as the VR. It does, of course, have some of the same problems... Ie: The brakes get hot far too fast. If you're towing stuff, you'll want to upgrade the transmission oil cooler. But besides that, The ecotec is a better and more reliable engine. Each car obviously has its little problems, so you may find a gremlin... But it's no more likely than it was in your VR.
