vr stallin out when fuel level is under quarter of a tank

im havin this prob with tha vr when its under quarter of a tank the s**t of a thing stalls would that have some thing to do with the float or pump in the tank????????

also guys is there anything i can do to gain a bit extra grunt without havin to spend to much coin im out of a job at moment like under $1000,i already have a decent exhaust system????

could be a build up of crap in the fuel tank? or bad guage sensor aka sticky needle?

If the fuel return line gets dislodged inside the tank usually during a fuel pump replacement the problem you describe will happen. The return line usually returns unused fuel to the swirl pot inside the tank but if dislodged the pump can starve for fuel when tank below 1/4.

mine is doing the same, whats the best way to fix the problem with the fuel pump dislodging thing?? if the car has more the 1/4 fuel does urs still run??

didnt know you could stall an auto, but i managed to the other night - i was proud of myself

but now im thinking might be the same problem your having - ive been having problems with my fuel tank/gauge for ages now so wouldnt surprise me

Do a search on this forum for "fuel pump" and you'll find heaps of posts most of which come to the conclusion that the problem lies with the return fuel line to the swirl pot.

ide start with an otr CAI from holden (only about 50 bucks)
Platinum spacers
High ratio rockers
High flow filter etc..

sweet thanx jamie an thanx to ev1 4 ur help,my vr still runs when its under 1/4 jus does'nt like taking corners to well thats wen it tends to stall it done it on me doin 160+ plus hangin into a left hander mate were my ass cheeks grippin tha seat lol
