vr senator remote bcm questions

hey all, ive got a few questions about the bcm that controls the central locking in the vrs, Is it possible to just swap a vr senator wiht lets say a vs exc? because mine key only has the unlock/lock button and boot release so it has 2 buttons in total and im looking at getting a hsv key made but they dont make them to suit the key i have(they only make unlock/lock 2 buttons, and 3 button remotes).so what im looking at doing is making my key a 3 button remote(unlock, lock and boot) Are they just unplug the unit from one car and swap it and it'll be all sweet or is there anything else i have to change? and how many bcms are there? Or is it possible to just code a 3 button remote to replace my 2 button one? 1 free internets for anyone who can help me out. cheers

the BCM controls stuff like power windows, airbags, climate control etc a VS exec has a "low" BCM where your sennie has a "HIGH" or "MID" BCM.... also pretty sure you wont be-able to swap VR/S BCMs

yu could ring hlden and ask them if they can reprogram a key so it works....


and there are 3 differet BCM's ... in VR and also 3 in VS im sure you can NOT interchange...

hey dude i tried this on my VR Statesman you need a VS ECU to go with the BCM not the matching ecu just a vs ecu to match the BCM eg series 1 bcm needs series 1 ecu series 2-3 BCM series 2-3 ecu etc etc i am the same i want it for the 3 button keys and the sunroof closing feature on the vs bcm has anyone got a spare s1 vs statesman ecu for a 304??
