Default How common/rare are factory black vr v6s?

    Hey guys

I am looking for a black Vr to build up as I was going to build my green vr up but have decided against it since the front end is still out a bit since I had a smash and won't ever be the same again.

My question is how rare is it to find a factory black vr v6? with paint in good condition to.

TBH, i dont think they come out black, there was the black green (pantha mica i think) and black cherry (forgotten the name), but none black.

the only 1 in the range that i know of was the VS mantas

There's a few black (proper black) examples in every model (due to the hearse runs down the line), but super rare. There's a Calais on SC, might be a VR I think

This colour is a joke, my ute is "Anthracite Grey" and its bloody dark purple, not grey at all.
And no, it hasn't been resprayed, this colour is what some idiot at Holden thinks is grey.

    Not black ROFLMAO

Some lights it looks lighter, or if the sun catches the bits in the paint, but 90% of th time, your looking at a black car.

Anyone have any good pictures of actual custom black painted VR's? i was thinking of painting mine black possibly. Wasn't sure if it would look tacky tho.

I have owned several black cars they are a nightmare to keep clean and tidy, every minor imperfection shows up. After you have spent half a day detailing it go inside a have a shower and grab a beer to admire your work its dirty again.

I have seen a couple of black VR and VS V6es around, one was even a bench seat wagon (column shift = sexy) Though normally tidy examples go for a premium.

Hmm looks like I'll be keeping my eye for a green one then since they are a bit more common.

And the cleaning issue wouldn't bother me as I'd hardly ever drive the car as it's going to be illegal for me to drive for another two years anyways.

and sorry seraphic not after a wagon

Yeeep. Know that feeling. Mine gets dirty using a chamois. The only part im left being proud of is the tires and lourvers thanks to some tire shine. And for some reason, when I polish, it looks more scratched.

Mine is aztec green, its like everyones grey. Black most of the time but in certain lights its a glittery dark green. Not a bad colour. But yeah. hard to keep clean.
