    Default Cooling system reserve tank question

    This is probably a stupid question but better to be safe than have my radiator blow!

    There are two hoses coming out of the reserve tank of my cooling system in my commodore. One of them is connected into the radiator, the other isn't connected to anything and is dangling down over a hole. Is this a drainage hose or has something come loose? I don't want to risk blowing the radiator as it is only about a year and a half old.

    no, one hose is just overflow, and dumps water on the ground if you overfill it as far as I know.

    Thanks mate! Good to know, my repair manual didn't mention anything about it so I just wanted to check.
