Red face VR Vertical Bonnet adjustment - Help needed

Hello everyone, I'm looking for some advise on how to raise the back (windscreen end) of my bonnet, the back sits below the fender line. Most cars can be raised by loosening the two bolts on the guards and raise the hinge, but my VR won't move. I've removed the bonnet & brackets but the adjusting plate won't move, it's not rusted or stuck as I can move the plate in and out from the guard, just not up and down. Would appreciate any help thanks

Thanks for that, I'll keep that idea for my last resort, But I think I'll keep looking at why the adjusting bracket does not move. Hopefilly someone may have a workshop manual photo of what's holding the bracket in place. Cheers

the little black plastic adjusters towards the back on the fenders may help.

If the bonnet is sittling lower than the mud gaurd - your hinges are bent. Get some lube on them before they bust your front window.

Replace the hindges to see the bonnet back to the gaurd level.

It will be bent hinges that lets the bonnet drop down at the back. It's no real problem until it cracks the front window.

    Lube hinges now
