hey guy's
starter motor crapped itself, rang wreckers and they said $88. wich isnt too bad,
anyway, i have 2 VN's sitting here and was wodering if the starter motor would fit out of one of them??...
i know the's two types Delco Remy, and Bosch... bt i dont know wat they look like or wat te VR has./...
My VR is a Series 2 btw..
many thanks
Yes and Yes. VN-VS same. Yours will be Bosch if it's series 2. VN to early VR's are Delco. The stuffed Bosch one can be replaced with your good Delco one with no worries.

so the delco can also replace bosch?
Yes just edited it.
The Bosch in your VR can be replaced with your good Delco out of the VN and vice Versa.

bump?

Are ya sure VN starters are the same?
i did this change to my neighbours VR, and the car didnt want to start period....
and it didnt even fit in the spot its meant to due to the shape of the housing..
so it cost him $30 for one from the wreckers..![]()
the vr used two starter motors, if your car is pre 94 it would have the delco remy and after would have the bosch. i dont imagine they would differ from the vn as they are a very similiar engine and i reckon that if you put both of them next to each other you will find they would be near identical
