Whats this part called, Oil pressure switch screws into ... ?

I've obviously overtightened the oil pressure switch on my ecotec and its cracked the threaded hole. Its the same plate the oil filter screws up against.
Anyone know what its called, whats behind it and anything else i need to know to replace it ? I'm hoping i just have to unbolt it, maybe move the power steer pump to get access, and fit a new one with a new gasket .
