I had a quick search over the forums but could not find what i was looking for.
Lately the car has been playing up, when i accelerate the car will go, then stop and go, its like the transmission is slipping so i figured maybe its low on oil, but then i check the transmission oil while in 'P' after a 10 minute drive and it is on the 'hot' section of the stick. So i wanted to get a flush of the transmission and refil it with fresh stuff to see if that works.
My question is because i don't know, how do you get your transmission flushed? do you go to a transmission mechanic or can you do it yourself and also how much is it?
Thanks, Shane
You can do it yourself, but personally i think it's a bitch of a job unless you have two people and a hoist. If ya got the cash, just get a trans mech to do a service, should only be like $100 or thereabouts. If you wanna do it yourself, do a search or check the "How To" section of this forum![]()
