    Default Keys cant be reprogramed

    Just a little note to let you all know that holden commodore push button keys cccccccccccaaannnnnttttt cant bereprogramed
    Ive been to 5 different dealers & none of them can reprogram a key head
    Sometime the truth hurts
    A simple message to ford owners,

    I always thought so too but in a recent thread here, "minitsbay", who is in the key cutting business, says they can be re programmed. Holden want to sell a new key.

    cant find the other thread i posted on. how much should it cost to get my key redone they said they're replacing all the insides and outside with genuine parts for 89 dollers does that sound about right?

    as far as i know its a refomatting the key head.
    programming was light the ignition for 30 second and then switch of, then start the car.

    I had mine done yesterday. $88 for the key fob, just over $100 for a complete unit (new key cut + key fob) - Took it to a locksmith

    I was told by both Holden and a locksmith that it couldnt be reprogrammed, then the locksmith was about $20 cheaper to get a new one cut and programmed
