Default got statesman dash now to put it in???? help

look i know everyone is probably going to go look back through threads, do a search and tell me theres a thread called trippin but i did all that and cant find anything that pin points my question, very useful info none the less.

i have the statesman dash and fascia and before i go ripping me old one out i just want to know if the statesman dash will fit up with the executives stereo surround & glove box, also if i need new door vent pods of if the statesman ones match up with the executives door vents?

    thankyou

No I am not going to look back through other threads.

I believe that it should be a basic bolt off bolt on job, I have a statesmen interior. Dash, door trims, seats and so forth. I got the car like that but I have also taken apart majority of my car so I have a fairly well understanding and there is no modifications that have been carried out to change over the interior.

    Hope this helps

Hang on, do you mean dash or gauge cluster?
Gauge cluster is a yes... THIS thread will tell you how to do that. It's the tripin' one... I can never seem to find it with the search function either.
Dash, I'm not sure... I have seen it done in a VS ute actually, but not sure how much or what modification was needed.

the dash will fit up fine, u can keep your door skins, the door vents i believe are the same, but check a couple of "my ride" threads for interior pics for comfirmation.

now with ur centre console, i believe they both have the same shaped surrounds so u should be able to use the standard stereo surround. glovebox im unsure of im sorry.

Series 2 and 3 use a different radio surround/console. Having the cutout above the radio for the storage compartment, you wouldn't be able to use it with a Exec radio surround (well you could, you just have a gaping hole up the top)

Post pics of what parts you have, and i'll tell you for sure what is interchangable.

looks like you can use ur standard stereo surround. As stealthy said the later statesman stereo surround included another compartment which they have modified the metal behind it. but u can put the standard VS surround on with the dash itself, but if you purchase a statesman surround you'll need to modify the metal on ur normal wheel base VS to fit the upgraded surround.

I think Dylan made a howto when he put his in. I can't remember what he told me on msn, but i couldn't imagine cutting a metal bracket as being difficult.
