    Default power train light

    the power train light on my series 2 vs stays on about a minute after i've started it. although the trans feels algood whilst driving, is this nethink i shud worry about?

    can you describe this light? is it orange with a pic of an engine?

    lol havent heard the technical name for it most refer to it as the engine light, for obvious reasons lol.

    ok, its logged a fault. you can check it using this thread: Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)
    there is a link at the end of the 1st post, with the error code meanings.

    post up what you find n we'll go from there

    yea no probs, did ur car drive any different? loss of power or anything weird? i hope its nothing major, but we'll find out soon enough

    hey dude, just did that trick with the pin. there were two codes that came thru, code 12(system pass) and code 23(mass air temp high voltage). i checked a few times to make sure, is this nething to worry bout?

    I'd check your air intake sensors/plugs/wiring (one on the airbox, one on the MAF - silver thing between the airbox and the throttle body) to see if they've come loose or have dirty connections. MAF could be dirty or need replacement, plenty on ebay

    checked the wires u were talking bout, cant see nething wrong but may have to leave it to the experts.
