thanks, does anyone know if you can use EFI LIVE as a permanant addon to the factory ecu, So that you can set cetain values and have the computer respond to them, As in RPM limiter and so on or will it do damage to the factory ECU, thanks

you can temporarily command stuff like a/f ratio and what gear its in and stuff but its pretty useless for anything but dyno testing and componant testing really

How temp are we talking, i Run my laptop not long ago with some changed setting being A/Flow, Timing adv, etc and also removed the 1,2,3,4 gear shift hold commands and it kept running till i stopped it 7-8mins later,

So in short just wondering how long before it time out, I also made sure that the command is set to repeat otherwise it only lasts 5 secs, thanks

well every time the aldl stops or you start the engine but they are pretty pointles like A/F ratio you dont want to command 13:1 everywhere all the time will suck gas and if you are boosted it would soon melt things same with spark you can command 20 degrees you dont want that everywhere. yes you can add whatever degrees to the timing so it changes everywhere by that amount but thats a bit the same you want more in some places not everywhere normally you lock it in 3rd with the 3rd gear lock for doing dyno runs and can add a few degrees and see the effects on the dyno etc but for the average joe blo they are of no real use apart from diagnosing issues with stuff and its pretty cool to show people too
