Ignition trouble VR commy

Hey Guys I have a VR commy Manual dependent on Gas dose not run petrol. My battery went flat put a new one in but now when i try and start it it turns over and starts but wont stay started i have checked all fuses and the connection to the ignition barrel all seem to be fine just cant get my head around it, someone told me it might be the responder in my key?? someone help i rely on this car for work cheers

Sounds like an immobiliser issue... try reseting it of something... I'm guessing there is a little round key thing or something...

if it was the immobiliser it wouldn't run at all. i'd check error codes and go from there

Also check the connection to the oil pressure switch - it forms part of the electrical circuit that supplies power to the fuel pump once the engine starts. Haven't degreased lately?...this can stuff the OP switch as well.
