exhaust help

hi all at the moment i want to make my exhaust a bit louder chunker it is a vs v6 stock exhaust but no back muffler just a straght pipe if i put holes in the middle muffler will it be louder at all
and yes im getting a sports exhaust but in a few months when ive done my 4wd

any help would be great

na paying for new exhust to be put in when my 4wd is on the road and when i find a nice sounding one with out the drone thats why i just want to do this one bit louder couse when new one goes in this one going to tip

So why not just wait until the new exhaust is on?

Deliberately going out of your way to put holes in you muffler is one of the funniest things ive heard in a while.

just un bolt it from the manifold and take it off. Much louder and it will sound like it's going faster too

So the exhaust is for a 4wd? or for another car.

Anyway, just wait till you get a proper job done on it. Also ask the people who are doing it for you to see whats best for the car.

Putting holes in the middle muffler will get you some good gasses inside the cab too. Just watch out if you get sleepy.......

no warrys will do and its for my vs but a decent exhaust will be done in a few months after my 4wd is put on the road

im not that stupid and i didn't start a post to be flamed a have my spelling started on it was just some simple questions as i don't know much about exhausts so was trying to find out of some people that might know some quick simple ideas but obviously can't get them answers

Putting holes in your middle muffler will make it sound like a boat, fill the cabin with fumes, and make you lose power.

By all means go ahead, knock yourself out.

Put a rear muffler on the back, remove the central muffler, get this done professionally, it will make it sound louder and won't kill you, or be illegal.

We all have to learn somehow guys, ease up.

have you tried winding down your windows?

just wait until u get ur sports exhaust, why cant u wait that lil longer?

In all seriousness DON"T DO IT for a lot of the reasons above the fumes will kill you, the sound will drive you nuts and it will make your car unroadworthy.
Just wait another couple of months to do it properly!

thanks guys im going to get a pro to do it just will have to wait don't feel like dieing yet
and what type of exhaust will give me a more chunky heavy sound ?

Go and put a decent system on it. drilling holes in your exhaust = Idiot......If you cant afford an exhaust, leave it alone until you can

back to my questions but new ones
1- i have just changed trans
2- started it up with just the y peice of exhaust with its muffler with none of the center or rear on
3- i like the sound
4- any one know who can make a pipe from that all the way through to the rear //
or know what exhaust its called
