Default 2500 rpm for 30 seconds reset

I just reset the computer in the VR (V8) and need to know if I should run it for 30 seconds at 2500 rpm like the VN V8.

Another urban legend. Just drive the car as normal...the ECU constantly updates/alters parameterss all by itself.

I've changed my memcals more times than anyone can count, from vn tunes to vr tunes to vn tunes. sure the old IAC reset theory works but it DOES reset by itself with a quick burn around the block. And unless you are moving from one kind of tune to another you don't need to do it at all. I see Dr Bob still believes this is a true story but I can't agree since I don't see it on my own car

I agree that it's not absolutely necessary as it will reset when you drive it because it will go over 2000rpm for 10 seconds anyway. All it does is reset the IAC, but it doesn't hurt to do it before you drive it, just to get it idling properly.
