vr hsv berlina ?

Im looking around for a manual v8 in either vh vr or vr and came across a commodore advertised as vr hsv berlina.

Its an auto 5.0L in metallic green, trim looks different to the standard vr's, has a badge with vr066 on dash, build compliance plate on firewall.

Could this be advertised incorrectly or were they available as HSV berlina's etc

yeah, im informed that even executives could be "HSV enhanced" with VR's but that didnt make them true HSV's.

Depends on the persons opinion.

If HSV clubs let enhanced cars join their clubs, then they must be true HSVs



And yes, any model could be enhanced (i nearly bought a VS SS, which the only mod HSV fitted was a level 3 trip computer, but it was recognised as a normal HSV)

Like my VS Caprice, means it has had the HSV Enhancement option available at the time. Chip, CAI, Extractors lifting the power to 185kW, a build plate, "V8 Enhanced" badges in place of the normal V8 5.0 ones and on my Caprice the 185kW and HSV badges on the boot. Im not sure if the VR got the "enhanced" badges and none of the VS Caprices i have seen over the years (three) with the option had anything on the dash. May have been different in the VR

I have also heard that most if not all 5.0's of the VR/VS S1 period could be optioned with the HSV thing, so I imagine the Berlina has the above. The HSV Option seems rare-ish, but I don't think adds anything to the value of a car IMHO

The thing is, it didn't need the 185 option pack to be classed a HSV. The SS i looked at only had the trip computer installed by HSV, everything else was as per Holden factory, 168kw 5L.

Thats the same for all the models, they could have just got a set of wheels, and still be classed a HSV enhanced car.

Thats exactly what I wanted to hear...it looked really cheap at $7k with 160kays

The thing is, you'll still have to insure it as a HSV, and pay a higher premium, even tho the only mod might be a set of wheels, or a spoiler.
