Hey,
I know this has been posted before, but i cant find a definitive answer.
i have as S1 vs ute manual, no power windows, remote locking or cruise control.
I want to install cruise control, and possible remote locking, but i would think that because i don't have any options, i wouldn't have the wiring loom.
How can i check if i have the loom?
What Parts would i need?
Can somebody please link me to a guide for installing it.
Check where the spaces for the relevant fuses and relays are and see if there are connectors in them or if they are blank. If they have connectors you will have the loom.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
The hole for the relay is in the fuse panel under the steering wheel - look at the relay diagram to locate where the relay goes - the look into the empty relay socket for cconnectors. The fuse will be there as it operates other items. Also look around the pass side strut tower for a spare multipin connector needed to connect the module. Pix attached where to look>

thats not really helpful because im trying to find out where they are,Check where the spaces for the relevant fuses and relays are and see if there are connectors in them or if they are blank. If they have connectors you will have the loom.
and im looking for a "This is how it is and thats that" answer, because there is no threads with a be all end all answer.
what am i supposed to be looking for thats in that picture?
if it does/dosent have whats in the picture does that mean i definatly do/dont have the loom?
what parts are required if i do have the loom?
What parts are rquired if i dont have the loom?
if my car doesnt have the harness, would something like this be easier to install?

You asked ""how can I tell if I have the loom?" which is what I answered. If you look in the fuse panel under the steering column, there should be a space for the driver's window relay or power window relay, see if they have silver connectors or if they are blank. If you don't have the decal listing the fuses and relays then I can't help you.
As for cruise control look in the engine bay, around where the cruise control module would be located ( on the passenger's side I think) and see if you can find a spare plug where the module would plug into.

yer ive seen em on ebay, but i dont reli wanna spend 215 buks on one..That's a Yank site so freight will cost a bit more - the Audiovox is marketed in Australia as the AP150 - sells for about $215 delivered (Ebay).
im sure postage couldnt be 100buks from the other site
Price has gone from the Yank site??? also the guarantee is doubtful. I recently installed an AP150 on a VT Commodore - took about 3 or 4 hours - hardest part was attaching the magnet to the tailshaft.
