    Exclamation vs 5ltr heating up!!!

    hey everyone

my vs 5ltr ute s2 normally runs about 2marks up from cold on the temp guage but when i was in slow moving traffic the other day and was 28*c had the aircon on and the temp guage went to the 4th to 5th mark really quickly.

is that normal? that thermo fan for the aircon does that come on when the car gets to hot when the aircon switch ISNT on?

the radiator was replaced last year by the previouse owner and still runs a stock thermostat

also i know u can buy twin thermo fans of a au ford that work really well, one comes on at 70*c and the other at 90*c is this worth it?

also can u take the waterpump fan off and put in the two thermo fans off a v6 in?? cause my old vr v6 they worked awsome on the v6, i rekon there is enuf room,

    any advice would be great

"slow moving traffic the other day and was 28*c had the aircon on"

Pretty much worst case senario for your cooling system. esp on a v8 engine.

You shouldnt be worried about thermo fans, you should be worried about a full system flush. Take the radiatior out and give it a good clean to get the shit out of it, and then run some inhibiter through it for about 10mins, then flush that and then fill it up with coolant. once you have done that and it still gets hot, then start looking at thermo fans. You really should be doing this ASAP in time for summer otherwise you are going to have some serious trouble.

try replacing your thermostat before you get to excited about anything and a radiator flush.
