Just got a 95 VS statesman and it has factiory cd changer and stereo the cd changer loads and ejects the cds in the boot but when I press the button on the H/U it comes up with E-99. If anyone has a stereo manual it would be great to find out whats wrong with this, this car didn't come with the stereo manual.
ill go grab mine and ill post in a min.

E- 99
Micro Computer is locked.
How to reset the Micro Computer: Press and hold the "ON OFF" button for more than 6 seconds. The micro computer will reset.
I had this issued on one of my statos, Basicly i used to turn the unit on and off and then it would start the CD. It would also spit out other errors. I just pulled the head unit out and replaced it with a pioneer.
I have one in my VS Grange that works like its brand new. I would put a new deck in but a grange isnt exactly something you pull apart :P

yea thats great, got it going now, but as you say it keeps referring to E-99. Great work though.
I have a fairly large sound system with subs amps etc but had the intention to keep the stereo factory as it the 1st car i've had with a fairly good quality factory stereo in it.
im pretty sure e-99 is where it wont read a certain cd.( as in the brand of burnt cd)
phillips, tdk etc..(other brands, cant think of their names) one of those brands didnt work in mine, which pissed me off.
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
Oh yeah forgot the mention, Burn your audio CD's at 1x speed if you are using them in the stacker. Will turn out much better in the end.
