Are pod air filters legal or illegal? and if they are illegal why???
their legal,
You'd be better off replacing the panel filter with a good K&N. You know they work well as soon as you put one in you can hear the difference, the open pods take too much hot air.
Ive just rip off my pod and put in hi flow air box and cai heaps better especially when the car warms up all up brand new the hole thing cost me $125,well worth the money!!
Half the time when idiots leave open pod filters in the engine bay it defeats the purpose of having them, Its just sucking up hot air. An OEM paper filter is better if its in a closed air box where it can breath cooler air.
what state are you in?.
in qld and vic it MUST be secured properly and enclosed in a box of some description.
In WA its legal to have a Pod filter but must be secured. It can be open to.
47 made with the 185i engine $62,500 new
35 made with the 215i engine $73,500 new
