How do you remove dickie seat brackets from a VS Wagon?

Hi all,

I'm trying to take out the brackets for a dickie seat that was in my VS Berlina Wagon when we bought it. The seat was already out but the brackets are still there.

They're annoying because they stick up out of the boot floor and we're never going to use the dickie seat, so I want to sell it.

Does anyone know how to take the brackets out?

I took a quick look under the car and felt around to see where to access the nuts. Found them on the passenger side, but not on the drivers side. Anyone got any ideas or know how to take them out?

Hi mate, i took my dicky seat out about a month ago. the 2 bolts for the drivers side bracket are under the boot floor ( above the fuel tank ). you will need to lower the fuel tank to get access to them. Just undo the bolts on the staps at the back of the tank, carefully lower down just enough so you can get acess to your bolts.

Thanks for that, I had a feeling they were going to be under the fuel tank but was hoping I might be wrong. Didn't want to have to lower the tank, but looks like I'm going to have to.
