vp to vr manual computer

hey there.
i bought a complete vp commodore to convert my vr ute to manual.
i have changed the computer loom out of the vp into a vr manual loom (add 02 sensor plugs and speed sensor) just wondering if anyone knew the difference between the vp manual computer and the vr. if it would work or if i would need a new memcal or just a complete vr manual computer.

only difference is the vp ecu doesnt have the highspeed aldl chip and has a slightly different tune in it which can soon be reprogrammed over to suit the vr engine better.it will run and drive ok as is though just may be a little lean and not quite have the correct ignition timing vr the vr engine to get the most out of it.send me a pm if you require a VR tune put on the memcal i can sort you out
