If you're willing to drill holes in your roof, i can't see why it'd be very difficult. Easiest way would be to run it up the passenger B pillar, across the top of the door seal just under the headliner, then across the middle of the rear window upper trim.

I think it's a massive effort for something so little... Given that you'd have to weld up and respray the left front quarter panel.. And of course, you risk drilling in the wrong spot, and perhaps even weakening the roof? Don't think its worth it.

i think a BMW style aerial the little wind splitter looking thing would look awesome on a commodore. especially a statesman.

Go for it, patching and painting 1 panel wont cost you too much, and it will be a cool mod to do.

pretty sure once yo pullout the inner roof lining the roof is exposed so welding in a plate should be easy. but having said that, i'd suggest that getting it too hot would buckle the roof panel

    ^ agreed

once the roof lining is removed u'll see the support beam at the back, find a hole in it, that u can use to support/clamp to. with drilling the last thing u want is ripples so take it slow. i would suggest using sicaflex (sp?) to seal around the base of the aerial if ur worried about water leaks.
