thanks.
i have a mate who did the same thing, had no problems with fitting them on the front, the rears caused him grief though...
As long as you go no bigger then 235 on the rear.
Would look crazy. From memory that stuff will fit.. had a mate with similar, but don't quote me. I'd be checking with the insurance company and local road traffic authority if you're concerned.
I have to agree i have 235/45 all round on my VS Ute with on 17 by 8's with the rim protection lip and the fronts miss the strut by less then 5mm and the rears are nearly scrubbing both sides and the guards may yet need to be rolled.
Me dont thinks they had all these fat tyres when the VS was made hehe.
I have 245/40/18's all round i have no clearance issues i could easily fit 20's
Float like an elephant sting like a tree clubsport hits what doug does'nt see
you could fit 20s depending on offset and tyre width,But you need to realise you car will handle crap and your ride quality will be absoloute crap.I had 20s on my senator and dropped back to 19s recently as even the slightest pot hole in the road would feel like a massive jolt and has caused buckles in my 20s.Reason is u will run a very low profile on 20s and it gives you no cushioning whats so ever.If its a daily car i honestly believe you will regret it.If its your cruse vechile go for it.Im sure others will have different opinions but i found 18s and 19s fit and handle the best on the vr vs.
got 20s on my vr 225s on the front and 245s on the rear guards not rolled but will be shortly because even with superlows looks like a 4WD
got 19s on my VS they look real nice with super lows and its still comfy for a daily driver id honestly say steer clear of the 20's for the comfort factor but if its gonna be a show car then yeah 20's would look sweet
20s will definently fit on ya vs. i had 20x8.5 inch rims with 225/35/20 tyres the car was basically on bumpstops front and rear only issue was used too slightly catch the lip on the front guard on full lock but other than that no issues at all. No it is not technically legal and yes it was a very rough ride. But if ya willing to sacrifice comfort 4 looks then go 4 it.
