    Default Expensive week for me.

It was a very expensive week for me.
Wednesday had a bad miss in the car lucky I was close to home.
Starting having a look around leads on ok both ends.
Have a check on the wiring harness on the DFI Module and it is loose to easy I think to myself. Start to tighten up not getting any tighter.

Pull wiring harness off and a bit of the bolt is broken off and is in the DFI Module.
I get the modual and harness from work.
Ring Alderley Auto Electrics who are one of our customers and he fits me in.

He rings me car is ready slight miss when cold but goes away when warming up proberly spark plug didn`t have time to check as they busy and fitted me in so I think that’s ok and charges me $99 which I am happy with that.

The way he has wired it is good as the wiring is not hanging down and pulling on the plug (sorry about the pic I think you know what I`m talking about).

Car seems to be going ok no miss get home go for another drive car it warm now going up a hill I give her sum missing badly.

New plugs and leads just put in not so long ago so I buy 3 new coils all good now.

Put QFM HPX brake pads in as well front and rear. Pads $158 Labour $100

Holden parts 3 coils and module and harness $688.90 ( that’s staff price )labour $99

Didn`t have time to look at aftermarket parts.

Good to see it was a reasonably easy fix!

Yeah, not to rub it in or anything, but even the go-fast red ones are under $100 each

Used on GM vehicles from the mid 1980l to late 1990s.
Good to see they stopped using that old out dated technology in the late 90's LOL!

Read the last line of my post

"Didn`t have time to look at aftermarket parts."

Got my genuine parts stright away and back on the road same day.
Can you tell me how much warranty all these cheap parts have????
MSD coils I may have got if I had time.

I'm with you Peter, most times when the car breaks down you pay what you need to pay to get it going again in the shortest possible time.
I can just imagine the response I'd get from the Missus if I said "the car's out of action and we have to walk for the next week while I wait for cheaper parts from Ebay"

    Thanks hako.
    I`m glad someone understands.
Workmate got asked for price for coils woman said i can go a better price they lasted 2 months gee that is cheap replace coils a couple of times a year.
And I get 2year warranty. I see nobody answered my question about warranty.

The main reason I posted this was to show fellow members what happened to my car and if they happen to break down they can check the dfi modual and harness if they didn`t know already.

I have picked up some good information from fellow members on here and have helped some others out too just wanted to share what happen to my car.
Hope it may help out someone some day.
    Thanks for that.
