hi guys,
i was trying to fix a central lockong problem, i fitted a second hand bcm, from wrkecerks swapped over key pad, now car wont turn over?
i getr acessorys and hear fuel pump just wont engage,
is it possible that the keypad remote is flat? or do i have to syncruonise? something??? any help please.....]
it is a vs seriers 1 ve ute.
the bcm are the same, same numbers and codes on them, i also removed it from a ute,.
I'm not sure about the VS but in the VT the BCM and ECU need to be linked with a tech 2 before it will start. Perhaps that is your problem.
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
go back to the wreckers and ask for the keyheads from the car they removed it from.
new keyheads are $80-$90 supplied and programmed
Maybe a faulty bcm?????
NEVER LATE IN A 355ci
the immobilizer module is in the BCM.... and the old keys dont work with the new BCM... wont let the car start
I had to doa BCM swap on my car two years ago, ended up just paying holden to do it as the BCM didn't come with keyheads, but it was the only "lux" BCM I could findI do remember they had to leave the car on acc for an hour to disarm the theft deterrant system.
Does the Keyhead/pad you have for the new bcm operate the central locking?
it is suppose to operate the centra l locking, but now it doesnt do anything.
You need to get the same level BCM as you had origionally and you need the keyheads as has been explained. If you got a higher level BCM than you had EG: LUX or HIGH then these have higher protection and need the ECU to suit. Go back to the wrecker that you got the BCMfrom and check the details with him. Get the same level BCMand the Keyheads.
I would highly doubt your problems are the BCM though.
Have you another Keyset as it sounds like maybe a flat keyhead battery.
Go to Mistermint and have another Keyhead done, about $65. You dont need a new key then
But moral of the story: if you have a new BCM, you must have its matched keyheads, or you'll be immobilised.
yeah i done mine n u need the ecu with it
