    Default VR trans cooler.

    Just wondering if anyone has fitted a trans cooler to there VR V6 Commodore.

    I brought one a while back for my VL I had while i was rebuilding the engine, but since the VL is gone and i know own a VR, I was just wondering where people have mounted there's.

    this is on a vn but the pics give ya an idea on where you can stick the cooler
    Seems transmission coolers really are beneficial...
    whats the difference between my missus and my blower??
    well they both whine but the blower actually puts out

    u can get bracket from Holden, its was cost me about 40 to 80 bucks .. and already fit on my vr .. all look good!

    i cant remember what part number, i can go there to say VR/VS auto cooler bracket with screw..

    i cant take photo due the bumper blocking .... sorry

    You should be able to get the brackets from a wrecker for (next to) nothing; they are only a couple of strips of flat bar (and standard on VS?).

    It's also probably a good idea to at least flush the cooler through with auto fluid before hooking it up.

    I mounted mine to the front of the air conditioner condenser (as in your photo) then plumbed it to go through radiator first then the trans cooler. Return line to the trans is much cooler than the line into the cooler.
