    Default VS Caprice electric seats

    G'day all,
Can someone tell me how to set the memory on my seats.
The car is fitted with 8 way electric seats. When the car is switched off, the pass/side seat goes back to a stupid position.
    Cheers, Col.

Not sure what the buttons look like on a VS but with a WH you put the seat in the position you want and then press and hold one of the three memory buttons until you hear a tone.
Wreckers or Holden for the parts you mentioned.

yes you are right, the passager seat does not have memory. ONLY the driver seat. And those plastic bit comes out in 2 colours one light grey the other light blue. I've got a set of light grey in good condition. As to getting the memory to work. 1 get into the postion you want 2 depress and hold memo (memory) button 3 press button 1 while and memo button is held 4 the red light on the switches is designed to warn you that you are altering the memory 5 release both buttons

That's the info i was looking for. Thankyou.

It would have been easier if i had an owners manual when i bought the car. LOL

I know the car has a heap more features than i ever use. [or know of].
I've never played with the dash/trip/over speed ect since i bought it.

Could you use a standard commodore seat plastic and modify it?

    I'm not sure m8.
I think, because the electric seats have 'windows' cut out for the switches, if you tried to make them fit it would end in disaster.

Cutting out the holes wouldn't be too much of a problem.
It's the 2-3mm bit between the holes that i think would be a problem.

I tried making a new scratch plate for my brothers guitar once. It was supposed to be a x-mas pressy for him.
It was $50 for the material. I marked it all out....cut it to shape....bevelled it...then while i was drilling the last hole for the pickup, the whole thing ended up in 100 pieces! lol
I haven't forgotten that lesson. I rekon cutting the holes in the seat sides would end up the same.
