    Default Vt/Vy auto in VS

Guys i have searched threads in regards to installing a vt/vy auto in a 1995 vs ecotec but have found alot of conflicting feedback.

My question is can it be done ? Has antone recently installed one?
My tranny is slipping alot and was hoping to upgrade to a newer box?

I have found a few low kilometre autos from a vy ecotec and have found them to be cheaper than the vs box.

This is a picture of the auto

Yeah i have install a few of those auto in. They bolt up the same, as a normal 5hdd or 6hdd out of a vs, but you have to slice and dice, a bit of the gearbox so the exhuast can go through (right hand side) and the inspect cover doesn't fit on too as they are both diffenece. Also not having a inspect cover is a R.W.C problem and a risk of something getting stuck in between the ring gear and convertor. But other, than that they are alot better box, firmer shifts and can take a bit more power

i there did this to my vr ute put a vs engine and box in then box shit its self so i went for a vy bos only cost me $275 compaired to $600 for a vs one. Like you may have read they bolt up the same way. All the wiring should be the same if you have a vs already. You need to cut the box before you put it in the top mount on the box and for the exhaust if you have the dust cover then it will fit straight back on once box is in youll just need to cut the edge for the exhaust.
