i lost 1st 2nd 3rd drive

it all started when trans was starting to take longer to select drive then i lost 2nd drive/4th then last night was comming home and lost all of them just got reverse and park oil is fine and trans has done about 260.000 cheers any help

so you have 1st and reverse? sounds like its maybe gone into limp mode.

no reverse and park is all i got first lost 2nd and 4th now lost the other two

I was just driving along the freeway earlier in the year and lost 4th, then 2nd, then 1st, then reverse. I never got told exactly what was wrong with it except that it was cactus, and a full rebuild later its good as gold.

If it comes down to needing a rebuild get it shift kitted as well, or a manual conversion for not too much more

so for a rebuild how much am i looking at and for a reco what am i looking at with out shift kit will shift kit it when i get car going again and its a vs as well

Around 2K fitted for a full reco with warranty....extra for a shift kit - some places will not warranty the trans if you fit a shift kit!
Change to manual is probably cheaper but a lot more hassle.

I had mine rebuilt and shift kitted for $1750, but almost every place I went to quoted about $2000 just for the rebuild, or a couple hundred more just to throw in a reco gearbox

For a manual conversion I was getting quoted around the 3-3.5k mark

mine was just about to do the same was slipping out of gear if given to much and yeah cost me 1850 for rebuild but it was already shift kitted they just beefed it up a bit more

hahaha i'd like to see those lucas/wyness products fix that.

You could always just chuck a good condition second hander in and be gentle with it.

im thinking second hand just so can get to and from work for now then get rebuild and shift kit any one know how much im looking for a second hand one
