    Default Universal Power Windows...

Anyone ever bought and installed these?

POWER ELECTRIC WINDOWS UNIVERSAL 4 DOOR HEAVY DUTY - eBay Car Alarms, Safety, Security, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 26-Sep-09 00:26:54 AEST)

And how hard is it to install power windows while keeping the original door trims in the same condition?

    How to install Power Windows

Power windows are a pain in the ass to do, but worth it. That looks like it will just make it a whole lot harder.

of course it is, plenty of lower model cars have door trims to suit power windows.

The berlina or a well optioned even lower model.

If you are going to fit fast glass, use the factory parts.
I am yet to see an aftermarket kit that even looks suitable.

All the aftermarket stuff i have seen looks flimsy compared to factory.

I'm not saying all kits are bad, just the ones i have seen.

You don't need new trims for the front, as the button blocks are in the centre console. As for the rear switches, you can just put hole in the door card, it's really not that hard. Even if you did get the after market kit, where else would you have put the buttons?

I did this mod on my old car, heaps of work, but def worth it
Would recommend just tracking down some power window door trims from the wreckers and using all factory stuff much better fit and easier to identify problems if something goes wrong (in my case water got into one motor causing my stereo to stuff up)
