driving my vr whilst the engine is cold. everythings sweeet!
except when i brake,say: comming down a hill going from 60 - 0 to a stop sign.
or frequent stopping in traffic and engine is cold.
my car will sometimes try to stall itself, or start jerking randomly?
can someone please tell me whats the problem.
im freeaaaking out!
thanks guys VRoooom!
My guess is that it has to do with the brake booster, how do the brakes feel? Brake boosters run off the vacuum from the engine. If there is a hole in the diaphragm (or whatever it is called) of the booster then the engine will suck a lot of air when the brakes are applied but I don't know why it would only be when the engine is cold that it stalls. This is just a guess, but if it only happens when you brake then I can't see what else it could be.

MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
im with accentstencil.
You can test the booster for leaks too, I cant remember the procedure though.
try google maybe or do a forums search on leaky brake booster?
I'd be inclined to run a codes test first to see if there are any logged codes: Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)
To me it sounds more ignition related as it is only happening when the engine is cold.
my bros old colt was driven by our step dad but he ran the car straight away and up the highway while the car would jerk and go crazy until we got home and noticed that the head had blown.
not related but felt like telling my life story lol
spend 10 bucks on glad wrap and while they sleep, wrap there doors up and turn off there alarm for work then wake them up a few hours late and watch then run around getting ready for work then they find there car glad wraped lol
