Hey, My ute will sometimes struggle to start. This includes hopping in, turning the key all the way and nothing. I take the key out and press lock then unlock try again and it will start. Or when i turn it off and leave the keys in and try and start and get nothing. Take it out lock and unlock and it works.
Is this a lose cable in the igintion barrel or security feature i have no idea about?
Reece
more than likely a dry joint or faulty relay inside the body control module.
The last 3 things you mentioned are apart of the security system, its described in your glove box owners manual.
But im unsure about the "hopping in, turning the key all the way and nothing".
could be a few things
- a bad earth, check that your battery terminals are secure and clean
- the most likely culprit will be your key which you will have to go to holden and get a new one programmed.
when i said nothing happens i meant that as you turn the key through the multiple stages lights come on then when u get to the igintion or last stage all power gets cut.
well i got told that it may be an immobiliser, but the key idea sounds pretty good aswell because mine is in shit condition
