    Default Costs of suspension upgrades?

I'm currently considering selling my VR, but if I keep her I've decided to totally overhaul the suspension. The intention is to upgrade everything - struts, shocks, lowered springs etc.

My question is, what is this likely to cost to upgrade the whole lot, and what workshop or brands would you recommend in SA - or would new FE2 suspension from Holden Direct be a viable option? I want it to sit a couple of inches lower but not totally slammed as I really can't afford a defect. Are Pedders a decent place to go to or should I try a privately owned workshop? Also would it be better to do it all at once or gradually?

    Thanks in advance, Aldo.

Cost me $700 for King Springs Superlows, Monroe GT sport shocks and Struts, Nolathane heavy duty sway bar link pins, Nolathane strut brace.

All was new, except the strut brace.

Shop around, and you can save heaps

Where did you go for all of that? Bear in mind I'm unable to perform any of the work myself...

Yeah, GSL Rally Sport (site sponsor) are pretty good on packages. I don't think you can get brand new FE2 coils from anywhere anymore for a VR/VS.

Bottom line is that if you pay a workshop to do it, it will cost probably at least $1000 (easily more depending on where you go) just for shocks, struts, springs, and labor. Depends on where you source the parts from as well. Shop around.

keep goin. $1000 at a suspension shop will get you no where. I recon you wanna do all that then over 2g's if you payin someone.

Any mechanic will be able to fit shocks/springs (esp. to a live axle car...), and should do it at a price less than most suspension places will.

For shocks/springs, as mentioned we have our lowering kits:
KYB / Kings Commodore Lowering Packages!
then parts can be added to that such as panhard rods or bush kits.
