Has anyone had diff gears changed, i just brought a diff for my statesman and it's ratio is wrong (Hsv vs senator 6 speed manual), so i want to know how much it would cost?
Thanks.

whats wrong with them,if its from a 6speed VS senator, diff gears should be 3:46 over the normal 3:08. It'll also be a Hydratrak diff which are blood hard to come by and cost shitloads.

It had the ratio changed as the car was worked and it sits on 2200rpm on the highway compared to 1750rpm normal and i do a lot of highway travel.

if you have an auto, which is a 4speed,senator had 2 extra gears to keep the revs down at highway speeds but sounds like it could be 3:46 or if it was changed,3:7. I think $400 is the price of a diff ratio change, could be wrong, best bet is ring around

around $550 for rebuild and gear change...hydratrak diffs are shit, mainly because they cost sooooo much to fix if something goes wrong compared to the the standard lsd diff
