Hey guys need some advice on what transmission to use behind my 355 stroker in my vr ute? Just finished building the engine still on run-in tune and what happens T5 shits itself, shaft that reverse is on is stuffed.

I have looked into t56 conversions from malwood got quoted around $6800(supplied). Is the expense worth the hassle of the conversion? have also looked at install a turbo 350 or 400 because of their realtively cheap price, but havent been able to find anyone who does the conversion, anyone know who does?

Still has standard 3.08 ratio in diff so planning to change to suit trans any idea on whats a good ratio, its for street use but only on the weekend.
