hey guys, im thinkin of choppin my springs, i dunno why i wanna do it but i do, either chop or heat lower them. ive been in a car with heated springs and other than stiff it wasnt too bad. just want to know if it is too bad for the car?

also i know it is also illegal but i want to get a new steering wheel for my SRS car, i was just wondering either how to do it myself or is there anyone that can do it. i need to replace it because it is worn out and has several burns in it (assholes) and yes any help appreciated

just dont chop it too low.. it will damage shocks.. u can put steering wheel on urself u just need a bosskit

steering wheel removes are great two, but if your only doing it the once just get a nice big pole to use for leaverager, those wheels are on tight

mate i don't know about you but i care about other drivers on the road. chopped springs are illegal for a reason!!!!!!! if you want a low car get $500 and lower it for christs sake! what do you think the advantages of chopped springs are???

chop em i choped mine and ive choped all my mates cars its take bout 2 hours and its free yer it illegal but hey who care if copos pull you up say yep got em done at the spring shop some say they pop you but mine have never and its dumped i have hit a few bumps and potholes no dramas if i new how to upload pic i would to show you how low mine is but yer i cut 2 coils out of the front very low and cant remember how many out the back but make sure it is lower then the front other wise your car will look like a camel yes a camel

Some **** cut the springs in my car before I bought it.
The front ones had twisted in the base and half the spring was hanging out of the strut...don't know how he drove it ....the rears were the same and they fell out when I jacked the car up.There was marks in the floor from the tailshaft hitting the floor.I couldn't get the springs off and in the bin quick enough.They are illegal for a reason...they are dangerous.

What happens when you go over a bit of a bump at highish speed, the springs are cut that short they no longer sit where they're meant to, they pop out of their seats.. You come down, they're not doing the job anymore. The rear of your car becomes as stiff as a brick and goodbye handling.

my mates car is dropped!! cant fit my fist under if i make a a ball and his muffler is an inch away from the ground with 5 people in the car the weels scrape, lol its sooo dodgy, y would you want that, go for the propper lowered springs they arn't that expensive
