    Default VS Air Con Question

This question probably has a really simple answer but i know nothing about air cons so i thought i would ask.
What does it mean when my air con goes from cold to warm cold to warm cold to warm constantly. Its like the air con switches off every five minutes then turns back on again. But i don't touch the button, i just leave it on. I really know when the air con goes off, because it gets really stuffy and warm inside the cab. Does my air con need re-gassing or something like that?

Sounds like your TX valve is frezing up and when it warms up again it kicks in. I could be wrong and the best thing to do, is take it to a A/C place get them to check it out

Cheers guys. I know its normal for the air con to switch off when you are overtaking or going up a hill to give you as much power as possible, but mine switches off just when im doing 100km on a straight road. I did'nt think that was normal.

It could also be either low on gas or overfull - both can cause the high pressure switch in the refrigerant system to turn off till pressures drop again. Also could be a bad relay or cables or even a bad fan speed control. It would pay to do some elementary electrical checks before going to an A/C person who "may" want to extract $$$ from you.
To find out more about A/C do a google search - the way they work is very simple.
